Cut and run is the best way I can describe our experience. My husband was diagnosed with a large tear of his meniscus, a small tear as well, a cyst on inside of knee and a stressed ACL. We called the hip and knee center and requested to see a Dr who had been referred to us by a family member but he was booked for a month, so the nurse told us Dr Malinzak was available for an appointment in 2 weeks, so we chose him based on the fact that my husband was in so much pain. We arrived to the appointment and they immediately did an Xray, initial Xray didn't show much so a MRI was ordered. We also inquired about some medication to help alleviate the pain and we were informed that no pain meds until after surgery, if one was needed, and we should contact our family physician if we wanted meds. After the MRI was complete It took a little over a week to get results back, after calling multiple times and only getting voice mails, we consulted our family physician regarding pain meds and he gave us the results of the MRI. We finally received a call from Dr Malinzak's office and was set for surgery for 3 weeks out and was sent to a surgery facility outside of St Francis that was only concerned with getting our portion that the insurance didn't cover and wanted it up front. The day of surgery went well, recovery was good but 19 days after surgery my husband had a stroke, I called Dr. Malinzak's office to inform them on May 31 and have yet to receive a return call. Very unsettling
The best place for hip replacement in Indiana.. My experience was the best care and everyone was so helpful. It has been 12 weeks since my hip replacement and I am pain free for the first time in years. Dr Feris is the best surgeon ever and his years of experience really show..no complications I went into surgery at 9AM was in my room by 11AM and up walking at 1;30... it is the best place ever!!
hesitate to go to him again. And would recommend him to people having Knee problems.
